About the Artist

Influenced by a background in photography, Shalee Cooper’s works explore balance and relation between positive and negative space. Inspired by her career in curation, many of Cooper’s innovative paintings are installation-focused, allowing the viewer to curate their own form from a series of artworks. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is featured in many private and public collections. Cooper has worked professionally as photo editor of 15 Bytes magazine, Associate Instructor at the University of Utah, and as an Independent Photographer and Curator. Having lived in London, Amsterdam, and Paris, she currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.
