The interaction of the Earth’s varying organisms can have diverse results on their surroundings. Biocoenosis is the term to describe the interaction between different organisms to form a closely integrated community. As one of Earth’s organisms we play a role in creating this community. The contributions we make as human beings can have positive and negative impacts on our local and even worldwide environment. Conscious Biocoenosis exhibits work from sixteen artists that show their awareness of our growing relationship with the natural world.

While shown as individual works sharing individual experiences, the diversity in medium, size, and subject matter of each work come together to illustrate this relationship we have with the Earth and its inhabitants.

These works invite you to recognize the contributions you make, take accountability. Becoming aware of the changes we have made to this earth will better our understanding of the positive impact we can make on the planet and the negative impacts that we should cease to continue.
